Julio Goez

Chair of IAME 2025 Scientific Committee

Professor in programming languages and with research into integer programming, shipping and logistics and cloud computing. Professor Goez offer the experience both at the academic field of maritime operations but also as lead of the organization of former events by the CSL such as the Norwegian Operations Research Society (NORS) conference at NHH.

Gabriel Fuentes

Director of IAME 2025 Conference

Dr. Fuentes, specializes in Shipping Economics and Analytics, is a former Chief Officer with experience in both the industry and academic worlds. His researchs interests include shipping economics, digitalization and management, machine learning, big data handling, data science applications for the UNSDGs, maritime informatics, and operations research.

Stein W. Wallace

Head of the Centre for Shipping ang Logistics at NHH

Professor Wallace’s specializes in stochastic programming, including applications to maritime problems.Wallace has published more than 110 papers in internationally leading journals such as Operations Research, Management Science, Production and Operations Management, Transportation Science, Transportation Research A, B and D and E, Mathematical Programming and INFORMS Journal on Computing.

Mario Guajardo

Specializing in supply chain management and integer programming modeling. Professor Guajardo has researched models for allocating conference schedules to attendees based on their preferences. His expertise in models for scheduling large events, like sports competitions, will introduce innovative approaches to our conference planning and parallel sessions allocation.

As the head of Maritime Bergen, Sigvald contributes not only years of journalistic experience but also important connections within Bergen’s maritime industry.

Ziaul Haque Munim

University of South Eastern Norway (USN)

With a sound scholar record of publications in the areas of maritime economics, logistics and supply chain management. Dr. Munim, a close friend of NHH, is also a stellar conference attendee of IAME conferences as evidenced with the Palgrave Macmillan Best Paper Award at the IAME 2016 Conference in Hamburg and, the KLU Young Researcher Best Paper Award at the IAME 2018 Conference in Mombasa.

Gunnar Eskeland

Serving as the director of the Energy and Climate research program at NHH, he focuses on resource and environmental economics, with a recent emphasis on the shipping sector implications on climate change and the allocation of energy resources to the shipping activity.
